I’m Sooyoung Yang—a designer and illustrator based in New York City, where inspiration lurks around every corner. I graduated with a BFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts and am currently pursuing my MFA in Design there.
As a kid, I knew I was destined for a creative field because I was always doodling on anything within reach. I find inspiration in the oddest little details of daily life—water stains on bathroom walls or snippets of strangers’ conversations on the streets.
While creativity fuels me, I also make time for the things that keep me grounded—sleeping well, eating better (mostly), working out, reading, spending quality time with loved ones, and feeling grateful.
